These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "your", "User") and Maestro Sp. z o.o., Plac Trzech Krzyży 10-14, 00-499 Warszawa, Poland, NIP: 7011299986 ("Maestro", "we", "our", "us"), governing your access to and use of the Maestro mobile application, website at cookwithmaestro.com, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account or use the Service. By using Maestro, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are between 16 and 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and consents to these Terms.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we become aware that a person under 16 has registered, we will terminate the account and delete associated data promptly.

Content Warning: Maestro features fictional characters set within a theatrical organised-crime narrative. All character dialogue, backstories, and interactions are entirely fictional and created solely for entertainment purposes. No actual criminal activity is depicted, endorsed, or encouraged.
Normal mode contains theatrical language, dark humour, and implied (non-explicit) references to violence consistent with the characters' fictional mob personas. While edgy in tone, Normal mode avoids explicit profanity and graphic descriptions.
Hardcore mode is an optional, user-activated feature that significantly escalates the tone and language of character narration. Hardcore mode contains:
Hardcore mode requires explicit opt-in. Before activation, you will be shown a warning describing the nature of the content. By enabling Hardcore mode, you acknowledge that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) and that you accept full responsibility for your experience of this content.
Maestro is not responsible for any offence, discomfort, emotional distress, or other adverse reaction resulting from Hardcore mode content. The content is satirical, theatrical, and fictional. If you find such content objectionable, do not enable Hardcore mode.
Interactive chat responses and dish ratings are generated by artificial intelligence and may occasionally produce unexpected, inaccurate, or inappropriate content despite our safeguards. These outputs are fictional character performances, not professional advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or safety of AI-generated content.
Maestro offers a limited selection of recipes for free. Additional recipes, extended AI chat access, and premium content are available through the "La Famiglia" subscription.
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (each, a "Platform"). By subscribing, you also agree to the payment terms of the applicable Platform. We do not collect or store payment card details.
Current subscription pricing is displayed within the app at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice of price changes. Any price increase will not apply to your current billing cycle.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's App Store or Play Store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
Refunds are handled by the applicable Platform (Apple or Google) according to their refund policies. We cannot process refunds directly. For EU consumers: your statutory right of withdrawal may apply to digital content purchases under Directive 2011/83/EU, subject to the exceptions therein (including where performance has begun with your consent and acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal).
All content within the Service is owned by or licensed to Maestro Sp. z o.o. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws of Poland, the European Union, and international treaties. This includes, without limitation:

While basic cooking techniques and ingredient combinations are not proprietary, our specific recipe expressions — including the structured step-by-step instructions, character-narrated guidance, cooking routes, timing sequences, and curated presentation — are original creative works protected by copyright. You may cook the dishes; you may not republish our instructional content.
If you believe your intellectual property has been infringed within our Service, or if you discover unauthorised use of Maestro content elsewhere, please contact us at support@cookwithmaestro.com.
You may submit photographs of dishes you have cooked for AI-powered rating. By submitting a photo, you grant Maestro a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display the photo within the Service (including for generating AI ratings and share cards). You retain ownership of your photos. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you submit does not include personal data of third parties without a valid legal basis or their consent.
Messages you send to AI characters are processed by third-party AI services to generate responses. Chat messages are stored locally on your device and are not permanently retained on our servers. By using the chat feature, you acknowledge that your messages are processed by third-party AI providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service may generate shareable images combining your dish photo with AI-generated ratings and character commentary. When you share these outside the app, you do so at your own discretion. Share cards contain Maestro branding and character content, which remain our intellectual property.
You must not submit content that is illegal, obscene, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or that infringes third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove any user content that violates these Terms without notice.
Important: Maestro is an instructional and entertainment application. It is not a substitute for professional culinary training, food safety education, or common sense in the kitchen.
Cooking involves inherent risks including but not limited to burns, cuts, fires, allergic reactions, and foodborne illness. By using our recipes and cooking instructions, you acknowledge these risks and accept full responsibility for your safety and the safety of others in your kitchen.
Recipe instructions, cooking times, temperatures, and techniques provided in the Service are general guidance only. Results may vary based on your equipment, ingredients, altitude, and skill level. You are responsible for:
Maestro does not provide comprehensive allergen information and does not guarantee that recipes are free from any specific allergen. Ingredient alternatives suggested by the app or AI characters are not validated for medical or dietary suitability. If you have food allergies, intolerances, or medical dietary requirements, consult a qualified healthcare professional before following any recipe.
Some recipes include wine pairing suggestions and cooking instructions involving alcoholic beverages. These are intended for users of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. Maestro does not sell, distribute, or promote the consumption of alcohol.
Dish ratings generated by AI are entertainment features using character personas. They do not constitute professional culinary evaluation. AI ratings may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or unreliable. Do not rely on AI ratings as an indicator of food safety or nutritional quality.

We strive to maintain continuous availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, server issues, or circumstances beyond our control. Features that rely on internet connectivity (AI chat, dish rating, audio streaming, premium content) require an active connection and may be affected by network conditions.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
The Service integrates with third-party services to deliver its functionality. By using Maestro, you acknowledge that your data may be processed by these providers in accordance with their respective privacy policies:
We are not responsible for the practices, policies, or reliability of third-party services. Your use of features powered by third-party services is also subject to those providers' terms. Depending on the context, these third-party providers may act as independent data controllers or processors.
These providers may be located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. In such cases, data transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws and appropriate safeguards as described in our Privacy Policy.
Your privacy matters to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where reasonably practicable, notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Service.
For EU consumers: material changes that affect your rights will be communicated at least 30 days in advance where required by applicable law.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Warsaw, Poland.
For EU consumers: Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. You may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of habitual residence.
